THURSDAY
THEME: MEDITATE ON HIS WORD DAY AND NIGHT TO PROSPER.

SCRIPTURE: Psalms 1:3
“He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.”

REFLECTIONS

There is an ultimate purpose of God for humanity. His relationship with humankind is meant to be perpetual. Therefore, He has amply provided directions for keeping, maintaining, and growing the relationship with Him throughout eternity. While the godly walk on the path of righteousness into eternal life, the ungodly tread carelessly on the path of misery that leads to eternal separation from God and ultimate damnation.
Psalms 1:1-3 are delightful verses. Every well-meaning person may need to meditate on the counsel in these verses. The psalmist writes: “[1]Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; [2]But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.[3]He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.”

Question: Which of the two ways defined in these verses above aptly describes you?

Suggestion: You are blessed if you walk in the counsel of God and desire righteousness.
Recommendation: Delight in the law of the Lord, His word, His promises, and all the truth the Scriptures present – they are life. Jesus said: “The words I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” – John 6:63.

Eternal Benefits:  You shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water.  You will never lack the graces (spiritual nutrients) to grow and mature into Christ. You will bear fruit that lasts through life. You will not be found wanting in character and spirituality. Your propensity to sin will be tamed and killed, and the delight and joy of serving the Lord, doing what is right, and following godliness will be your honest desire and practice.

General counsel:  For anyone to prosper, seek to meditate on the word of God and keep His commandments. For a young person to rise and be distinguished for righteousness, you must have the Lord Jesus as your anchor. Joshuah accomplished God’s colossal task because he heeded the same counsel to meditate on the Book of the Law day and night (Joshua 1:8).  We gain wisdom, spiritual gifts, and unique and exceptional abilities when we stay close to God. When His word is meditated upon, knowledge, patience, understanding, and the confidence to do His will become our reward.  The secret to success is to put God first. God first means spending precious and rejuvenating time with God in studying His word—the map that leads to your destiny. You will prosper if you follow this counsel. God will lead you.

PRAYER: May today’s youth learn to spend time with God and His word and desire to stand out for God.
May God be formed in our young people as they meditate on His word (2 Corinthians 3:18). May God prosper all who heed His counsel to meditate on His law.

The crisis management company has been operating in Ghana since 2017 and has been contracted by the Government of Ghana, through the Ministry of Health, to undertake fumigation and disinfection of cargo at the country's ports and designated points of entry and exit. The successful organisation of the fifth edition of the LCB Corporate Games further underscores the company's commitment to using sports as a platform to promote teamwork, corporate engagement and stronger relationships among businesses in Ghana.
