Rainbow Listening Fun Club Donates Education Materials To Schools In Asikesu And Asuaba

The Rainbow Listening Fun Club has donated education learning materials to the Asikesu Roman Junior High School in the Eastern Regional.

The Asuaba Presbyterian Primary and Junior High School also benefited from same initiatives to improve educational standards of the students of Asikesu and Asuaba communities.

The items which were donated by the organization are marker black boards, marker Pens, exercise books pencils erasers Socks and foot ball.

Addressing the journalists after the donation of the items to the schools, the Chairman of Rainbow Listening Fun Club, Mr George Asare outlined the vision which was aimed at helping the brilliant but needy students in the various schools, orphans and needy people.

The club was focusing in the lending its various humanitarian supports to the students in the government schools in the rural communities.

He called for immediate support from the various philanthropists and organisations to help the club to actualize of supporting the orphans and needy people in the rural communities.

He stressed that the activities of the Club are completely devoid of party politics.

“We are saying that it is not the politics that
we are doing but these project were embarked by some individuals who came together through the Rainbow Radio 87.5, operating in the UK and Ghana.

He said it was the listeners of the station who brought themselves together to embark on this laudable initiative.

Currently, Mr Asare indicated that the club has started its donation initiative at Adeaso-Asuaba of the Upper West Akim District.

He, therefore, stressed the need for the elders, individual organisations and opinion leaders in the various communities to also come out boldly to willingly support the various orphans and needy people in their communities.

For his part, The Assembly member of the area, Honourable Alex thanked the club for its gesture, saying that “we are praising the club for helping the schools because the good education that builds the nation.”

The Head mistress of Asuaba Presbyterian Primary and JHS, Madam Esther Asare stated that they students and staff of the school have appreciated the donation of the education learning materials to the school.

“We are really happy before this is first time we have witnessed this initiative in the school, she noted and called on the other groups or organisations to emulate the gesture of the club.

The Elders of Asuaba, Baffour Ohen Mantey also spoke at the event, saying that they are really appreciated the efforts of the club to contribute to the education development of the students in the area.
