The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has paid an amount of Gh¢100,000 as part of his contribution, to support the Greater Accra Regional National Democratic Congress (NDC) to pay part of a rent liability of US$ 38,000 left by the past Executives.
This came to light when the newly elected NDC Regional Chairman for the Greater Accra paid a courtesy call on the Speaker of Parliament at his office in Accra.
The Speaker pledged his support to the elected executives and tasked them to unite and work towards a common goal.
Hon. Alban Sumana Bagbin in hearing the rent situation at hand, did not hesitate and offer his support of Gh¢100,000 to help address the issue.
Mr Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore on behalf of the Executives thanked Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin for his gesture and pledged to use the money for the intended purposes.
The regional Chairman reiterates his commitment to ensure the political fortunes of the party is improved in the coming 2024 general elections and beyond.
