SABBATH – March 1, 2025
THEME: THE CREDIT CARD OF PRAYER
SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 65:24
“It shall come to pass That before they call, I will answer; And while they are still speaking, I will hear.”
REFLECTIONS:

Having a Nathanael-type experience with Jesus Christ will be glorious and exciting.  When Nathanael was told about Jesus, he doubted, saying, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, ‘Come and see.’” – John 1:46. To ascertain the truth, Nathanael joined Philip and went to Jesus. Verses 47-48 record, “Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said of him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!” [48]Nathanael said to Him, “How do You know me?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.” Yes, Jesus sees you before you even attempt to look for Him. He will answer your petition before you realize it.
Our fourteenth promise appears similar to Nathael’s experience of being spotted earlier by the Lord. When we have experienced reconciliation with Him, Isaiah 65:24 promises us: “It shall come to pass That before they call, I will answer; And while they are still speaking, I will hear.” Direct call with a direct response. This is placed in the context of the new heaven and a new earth. However, it had an immediate fulfillment in the people of Israel if they returned to God. What is fascinating is that the Lord has provided you with an answer before your prayer is said. Only our God can perform this miracle.

Sin is the only hindrance. If you let go, you can have a ready presence and answer from God. Isaiah 58:9 says, “Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; You shall cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’ “If you take away the yoke from your midst, The pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness.”  Daniel demonstrates how practical this promise is when he sought to pray and fast while seeking God’s guidance (Daniel 9:20-23). The Angel Gabriel told him in Daniel 9:23 –“At the beginning of your supplications the command went out, and I have come to tell you, for you are greatly beloved . . .” The merits of Christ stand on your account for you to be heard and responded to. Angels will be sent to minister to you with alacrity.

What a privilege to have your prayers answered quickly. It is possible through your firm connection with Jesus Christ. Beloved, the key to prompt prayer answers is in your hands; use it, and God’s promise will be fulfilled in your life. Prayer is a credit card that will give you immediate solutions to your challenges. Return and reconcile with God; as you pray and confess, help will be underway.

MY SONG OF COMMITMENT
SDAH 499 – “What a Friend We Have in Jesus”

LET US PRAY

– Praise and thank God for life; pray to stay in tune with Him through prayer and depending on His promises;

– Pray for at least five people who are dear to you but you have not prayed for for quite a while; pray for at least five people needing divine healing;

– Pray for someone who does not seem to like you.
