Assemblies of God, Ghana Unveils 2025 Theme: “Pray Without Ceasing”
The Assemblies of God, Ghana, has announced its 2025 theme, “Pray Without Ceasing” (For Supernatural Manifestations), based on 1 Thessalonians 5:17. The theme, unveiled by the General Superintendent, Reverend Stephen Yenusom Wengam, on November 14, 2024, emphasizes the transformative power of daily prayer in deepening faith and fostering spiritual breakthroughs.
Speaking at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi during a combined Executive Presbytery (EP) and Key Leaders Capacity-Building and Prayer Retreat, Rev. Wengam called on church leaders and members to adopt continuous prayer as an integral part of their spiritual lives. He underscored that consistent prayer fuels spiritual vitality, activates divine power, and breaks barriers such as addictions and limitations.
The retreat, attended by over 260 key members of the church, including district pastors and AG agency leaders, focused on aligning the church’s leadership with the 2025 theme. Rev. Wengam stressed that leaders must model unwavering prayer to inspire congregations and ensure sustained spiritual growth.
The 2025 theme was selected after extensive consultations and is designed to foster a culture of persistent prayer across all Assemblies of God churches. It prioritizes four key areas: strengthening church foundations through prayer, integrating regular fasting, interceding for a harvest of souls, and seeking supernatural manifestations of God’s power.
The initiative serves as both a call and commitment for Assemblies of God members to deepen their prayer lives, preparing for a year marked by spiritual renewal and breakthroughs.
