Members of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) from various regions across the country have converged in Accra for an Emergency General Meeting (EGM). The meeting is scheduled to take place on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Ghana International Press Centre.
The EGM, which holds the same authority as the Annual General Meeting (AGM), is the highest decision-making body of the Association. The session is open to all members in good standing, and the decisions made will be binding on the GJA.
Key items on the agenda include the General Secretary’s Annual Report for 2023 and the presentation of the Association’s audited accounts for the 2022–2023 period by the National Treasurer. Other important issues may also be raised under the “Any Other Business” section of the meeting.
The Emergency General Meeting is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of the GJA as it addresses critical matters affecting the Association and its members.
