In commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the late Bishop Professor Annor-Yeboah, his wife and children have launched the Annor-Yeboah Care Foundation to assist the needy and destitute in society.
The renowned man of God, celebrated for his charitable deeds through the gospel, impacted many lives through his teachings and acts of kindness. In his honor, his family, church, and numerous individuals whose lives were transformed by their encounter with the Bishop have come together to perpetuate his legacy of benevolence.
Speaking at the launch event, the current Chairman of CPIC, Bishop Owusu Jackson, highlighted the late Bishop Prof. Annor-Yeboah’s unwavering dedication to his ministry. He remarked that during his tenure with the Christ Apostolic Church and CPIC, Bishop Annor-Yeboah profoundly influenced the lives of many.
Bishop Stephen Owusu Jackson shared that upon assuming leadership after the founder’s passing, he continued the Bishop’s charitable work of supporting the education of 27 needy but brilliant students.
“Brothers and sisters, Bishop Annor-Yeboah was a man of faith, compassion, and deep conviction, who touched many lives. We are committed to ensuring that his work will not be in vain,” he stated.
He emphasized that the Bishop’s efforts were rooted in biblical principles, noting that pure and undefiled religion before God involves caring for widows and orphans in their distress.
Mrs. Mavis Annor Yeboah Totimeh, the first daughter of the late Bishop and a Director of the foundation, as well as the Annor Yeboah Memorial School, explained that the foundation operates in four main areas: the education fund, the vocational fund, the health fund, and the water fund, along with a soul-winning and mentorship department.
Mrs. Totimeh detailed that the education fund supports and partners with schools like Annor Yeboah Memorial International School, which is inclusive of children with special needs. The foundation offers scholarships for talented but needy students and collaborates with schools committed to supporting these children.
The vocational fund aims to assist the needy in learning trades by partnering with institutions such as Jayana Beauty Saloon and Prestodea Ghana Limited, providing opportunities for skill acquisition. The NGO seeks to expand its partnerships with more companies to support these initiatives.
The health fund primarily aids mothers who have given birth in hospitals but cannot afford their bills, ensuring they can be discharged. As well as General medical Bills.
The water fund focuses on constructing boreholes in villages and remote areas, providing access to clean water.
The foundation also engages in soul-winning and mentorship programs to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, continuing the late Bishop’s mission.
Mrs. Julia Annor-Yeboah Appiah, another Director of the Foundation and the Bishop’s youngest daughter, expressed that their father was deeply passionate about God and people, significantly impacting many lives.
“The foundation honors the memory of the late Bishop and ensures that we continue to extend a helping hand to society,” she said.
