After many praised Michael Abuah for his openness and accountability during the investigation leading to the exoneration of Michael Abuah by the Management of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST ) as SRC President for the accusations against his person, he is now making a strong case for Government of Ghana’s policy on STEM Education and leading strong advocacy for environmental protection.
Currently, Michael Abuah is the youngest member of a Technical Working Committee finalizing Ghana’s first-ever STEM Policy.
Positioned to have had the unique opportunity to have been trained by seasoned civil servants and policy experts at the National Education Reform Secretariat at the Ministry of Education. Over the past 18 months at the ministry, Abuah has assisted in policy reviews and development, including the ICT in Education Policy, Inclusive Education Policy, and his current endeavor: deepening STEM Education in Ghana.
Michael Abuah in his recent advocacies has strongly called for effective environmental protection referenced in his open letters to the president of Ghana on World Environmental Day 2023 and Earth Day 2024
In his previous role as President of KNUST SRC, Michael Abuah led strong advocacies in a green environment, and most largely celebrated was his advocacy in providing the biggest financial support package to 6,000 students in KNUST to avert their deferral.
